Obituary of Roberta Blankenbeckler
ROBERTA ELIZABETH FELTS BLANKENBECKLER, age 89, died Friday, February 5, 2010 in Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 6, 1920 in Lily, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clay Blankenbeckler; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Blankenbeckler; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Sidney Blankenbeckler of Sugar Grove, Virginia and Phil and Teresa Blankenbeckler of Pulaski, Virginia; one granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Blankenbeckler of Salem Virginia; one step-grandson, Sergeant Thomas J. Farmer, Jr. of Fort Jackson, South Carolina; one sister, Lois Knudsen of Crystal River, Florida; special sister-in-law, Alma Felts of Corbin, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; many special friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Billy Gwinn and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Private burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, Virginia 24382.
