We will miss you Uncle Jeff. It has been so long since I've been able to come to the family reunions and hug and laugh with you. I am so envious that my children were able to go and be there in my place and laugh with you face to face and so proud that they were able to spend time with such a great person. Our entire family is praying for peace and comfort for all of Uncle Jeff's family and friends. We will see you again one day in the wonderful peaceful place that God has called you home to. I met Jeff on a gun forum and we immediately connected because of our mutual enjoyment of flintlock rifles. I only "spoke" with him via email, but I could tell he was an honest, genuine family man. After one conversation, he asked for my address and sent me a buckshot mould, refusing any reimbursment. He said "If I have it, and someone else could use it, I'll pass it along. Merry CHRISTmas!". I'll miss his posts on the forum and his friendly, positive emails. God Bless you, Jeff and God be with the Stamper family.

Jeff was my best friend in high school. Our best times together were riding up in the mountains listening to Skynyrd,Marshall Tucker, etc. He liked doing crazy stuff too, like the time he took a notion to go camping up in the Hurricane, old fashion style and sleep on the ground in November! He told me once while he was at North Dakota in the Air Force,he and a buddy went in a car and went "ice skating" with the car down a boat ramp.He was a very adventureous man like that.He also was a good penpal and wrote to me often when I was away in the Army.I'll never forget the mountain man shirt he sent me.It's sad when we get caught up in lifes everyday changes and drift apart from your friends. It hurts me so bad to see Jeff go so soon, but I know for a fact I'll see him again someday.I still today go to our favorite places and look forward to my next ride, cause I know he will be there with me.My thoughts and prayers go out to Rhonda and Family.God Bless and Comfort You.

Like many others, I met Jeff on the Frontier Sixshooter Message Board due to a mutual interest in firearms of all types. We traded several emails regarding flintlock rifles, and Jeff once sent me a 44-40 antique bullet mold just to be nice. I know I speak for many when I say he will be missed.

I'm so saddened by the loss. Jeff and I conversed frequently via chat and e-mails, telephone once. We traded guns and bullet moulds too. Jeff sold me an old Ruger BP revolver. To his bemusement I cleaned it up and put a scope on it. It was well cronicled and he had a grand laugh when I shot and killed a nice Russian hog with it in TN. We were very close in age and both enjoyed the flintlock rifle. Jeff gave me many a useful tip. The moulds and that special Ruger gun I got from him will be a very special part of my collection that I will certainly keep in his memory. My prayers are with your family that God will provide comfort and direction in this saddening time. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance. God Bless, Scotty Boggs

I remember when Uncle Jeff came to visit us in Denver, along with my Uncles Ray and Tim. We were all just kids, but even then, he had the love of our savior Jesus Christ shining brightly in him. He grew into an extraordinary man, never losing the kindness and warmth that was the mark of a true man of God. I loved and respected him very much, and I am honored to read that so many felt the same about my dear and special Uncle Jeff. Thank all of you for your kind words. I believe that he is reading these posts and smiling down on us! God Bless all of you!

We 'met' Jeff through a rare gathering of internet friends and family known as the Frontier Sixshooter Board. He was well thought of and I never heard an unkind word spoken about the man. It's a shame we never got to meet him in person. Through Christ's grace, that will someday be rectified. We pray for God's blessing of peace and healing for his family and add our condolences for you all.

I met Jeff about 6-7 years ago on the Frontier Six shooter board. We traded bullets and gun leather. I spoke with him several times on the phone. He was always concerned about his family. He was generous to a fault. My mail man will not miss the big boxes of cast bullets Jeff would send me. Jeff habitually sent more bullets than I had bargained for. I admire his dedication the muzzle loaders and his fine taste in flint locks. I will miss him. Rob Leahy

I "met" Jeff on the Sixshooter Community Board and we corresponded a bit and did some business in shooting stuff now and then. I was struck by a couple of things. He loved his family and his life and he was honest in his dealings with others. I am very sorry for his family's loss. If his friends, even those of us in the virtual community, are so struck by his loss I must think that his family and friends at home are many times more grieved. It is a terrible thing to have lost him so soon.

Jeff was a long time "virtual friend". I knew him from interaction on the Sixshooter Community Forum as well as the Backwoodsman e-mail list. He always came across as a great guy and I hoped that someday I'd have a chance to meet him in person. It was fun to admire the various items he put up for sale or trade on the forum and I enjoyed communicating with him on a variety of topics over the years. He will be missed by a number of people beyond his natural family and friends. May God bless you all.
