Robert and Georgia, I remember well both of your parents, but especially your mom, since she was one of the den mothers for our cub scouts. Started me out on the right track. My mom (Carol) also wanted to attend service, but was unable to get out that week. She ask that I express her condolences, but acknowledged her admiration for the full and rich life your mom lived. My prayers for restoration from your loss, but also for a celebration of the person she was in this life. Bill Hicks

Pat and Robert, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I know how much she meant to the two of you. I admired how she could be so independent all these years. I will never forget the story on how she used to keep count of the laps she did in her house for exercise. What an incredible lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Love, Janice and Greg

Tho I had never met Jenny, I truly felt I knew her, and am saddened by her passing. She was a strong, vibrant, kind woman who was an example to us all of living a long and full life. Dear Robert and Georgia, My Mom, Ginnie Decker and I were very sorry to hear of Jenny's passing. She was my Mom's bridge and sewing buddy. She was actually my Mom's best friend. I was in Florida when she died and when I told her she was very upset. My Mom last saw her in July 2004 when I moved her up to Manassas to 1st be in an Assisted Living Home and now at 94 she is in a nursing home. She said she wished she could have seen her one last time. She was able to keep in contact over the phone the last few years. I'm so glad that your Mom was able to stay in her own home until the last few weeks. She was a very special lady and we will always miss her. With deepest sympathy, Ginnie and Lisa Decker

Robert and Georgia: It was with deep regret that we learned of Mrs. Lauridsen death. We had not had any personal contact since we moved to Blacksburg in 1997. We do remember with fondness our many relationships while we lived in Marion. Our prayers for your comfort and support during this time.

Dear Robert and Georgia, It has been many years since we have seen each other but there is still a large Lauridsen family in Chicago. We have fond memories of the reunions with your family, Ernie/Alice, Henry/Ester and the other Lauridsen families. Bud/Syl Lauridsen, Dick/Shirly Daugherty and Bob Geen are in their eighties and still with us. Syl Lauridsen (Kercher) is 97 but in poor health, living near her daughter Terry in Indiana. I remember Aunt Jenny as a soft spoken gentle woman, truly a gracious "Southern Belle". Our sympathies to you and your families.

Jenny was a very remarkable lady and we will all miss her. I enjoyed every conversation I had with her over the years. She was smart, enthusiastic, and always positive. She brought joy into the hearts of others, and all who knew her were very blessed.

Georgia and Robert(George!), Mother and I were saddened to learn of your mother's passing, after her amazingly long life, most of which was spent in her own home! Fond memories for me are of ballet with you, Georgia, and of high school with you, Robert. But I didn't really know your mother until she and my mother became Bridge buddies. They seemed to enjoy knowing each other so much. It brought me, as well as them, great joy to experience their friendship. Mother will miss her greatly. Mother really enjoyed seeing you in Marion recently, Robert. I was sorry I missed you. You and your families are and will continue to be on our minds and in our prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Peace be with you.
