Obituary of Betty Nelson

MARION, VIRGINIA: BETTY HASH NELSON age 61, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was born February 15, 1948 to the late J. Carl and Jocie Cress Hash. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard C. Nelson, and her brother Bobby Joe Hash. Betty is survived by two sons, Gregory T. Nelson of Marion, Virginia and Kevin C. Nelson of Bristol, Tennessee; one sister, Janice Henderlite and husband Darold of Reidsville, North Carolina; one brother, Michael Hash of Marion, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Vicky Hash of Atkins, Virginia; two grandsons, Corey and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with the Pastor Jerry Creasy and the Reverend Tim Boyette officiating. Burial will follow in the Attoway Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday, January 22, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
