Obituary of Elsie Welch

MARION, VIRGINIA: ELSIE WELCH age 80, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Phyllis Ann; her loving husband of 54 years, Bill Welch; and two sisters, Clara Welch and Gladys Wolfe. Elsie is survived by three daughters, Wilma Remsburg and husband Augustus of Jefferson, Maryland; Patricia Hahn of Brunswick, Maryland; Karen Garsman and special friend Tim of Falling Water, WV; one son, Edward Welch of Brunswick, Maryland; two nieces, Sandra Ward and husband Larry of Rockville, Maryland; Terri Welch of Atkins, Virginia; two nephews, Danny Welch and wife Edith of Atkins, Virginia and David Wolfe and wife Stacy of Mt. Airy, Maryland. Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel or at any time at the home of her nephew, Danny and Edith Welch, 5200 Lee Highway, Atkins, Virginia.
