For the Albano Family, Please accept our family's thoughts and prayers for you. Eric was a very special person and it showed on the soccer field. The many hours our family spent with Eric at games, many won some lost, he had that unique ability to be a peer and a coach at the same time. He related to teens in a manner in which only teens often can. He created memories and instilled values that many soccer players will carry forward for the rest of their lives. We cannot remember a guestbook so filled about someone's life. We offer you our faith and our strength to make it through your difficult days.

I found myself today trying to "not take myself too seriously." I wanted to greet everyone I came into contact with a smile. I felt a strong desire to be a better person and show others that there was still some "good" in this world. I wanted to make a difference in someone's life. Working in a hospital I probably have more opportunites than most to do so. I felt this way today because of Eric. I'm amazed at how he touched so many lives in his too short 35 years on this earth. I'm in awe of how he sincerely cared for people. It is rare. The out-pouring of love that was shown to him over the last few days was unbelievable. I don't understand why things like this happen but I believe our hope endures the worst of conditions. I will remember what an impact Eric had on others and will strive to be like him. Until we meet in heaven cousin -- rest in Gods arms.

Eric was truly one of the most upbeat and fun-loving people I have ever known - he never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. I still laugh when I remember the time when I was about 11 and he and Steven Jones smashed gum into my hair on the school bus. I will never forget the look on Eric's face when he realized he shouldn't have done that but it could not be undone!! I smelled of gum-removing peanut butter for days, but it was impossible to hold a grudge against someone like Eric, whose smile could have provided enough light for his entire soccer field! As a parent, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. I am so deeply sorry and I hope that the outpouring of love to your family will bring you some comfort in the days ahead - just knowing how very loved your son/brother is and what a blessing he has been to so many is a testament to his extraordinary life. Hugs From Heaven When you feel a gentle breeze Caress you when you sigh It's a hug sent from Heaven From a loved one way up high. If a soft and tender raindrop Lands upon your nose They've added a small kiss As fragile as a rose. If a song you hear fills you With a feeling of sweet love It's a hug sent from Heaven From someone special up above. If you awaken in the morning To a bluebird's chirping song It's music sent from Heaven To cheer you all day long. If tiny little snowflakes Land upon your face It's a hug sent from Heaven Trimmed with Angel lace. So keep the joy in your heart If you're lonely my dear friend Hugs that are sent from Heaven A broken heart will mend.

How many young, single men would take the time out of their lives that he did to influence, coach, and mentor the children of our community. Although none of our children were coached by Eric they played against him and witnessed the love he had for his teams as well as those on the other team. His memory will live on in the children that he coached because they will more than likely follow his example one day and make a difference in their community as he did in his. Mike, Pat, and family, I cannot adequately express how blessed I feel that Eric was a part of our lives. Abbie enjoyed him so much during skills clinic; some of her fondest soccer memories are of Eric. He was wonderful with those kids...what a gift he had! His knowledge of soccer was immense; his ability to connect with the kids was amazing; his desire to give of himself...unbelievable. Our community will never be the same; we have lost a remarkable person. We loved Eric & will miss his wonderful smile and endlessly upbeat personality. They don't come any better than Eric! I am so very thankful that my child got the chance to work with him and that he was a part of our lives. We are praying for healing and peace for you. ~Trey, Kristie, Olivia, and Abigail

Dear Albano Family, We extend our deepest sympathy to each of you in this difficult time. What I remember about Eric the most was his smile. My mother reminded me that there was never a time that she didn't see him that he didn't take the time to say hello and hug her neck. He truely touched so many lives and gave so much of himself selfishly. The world would be a better place if there were more "ESA's" in the world. Hold on to your memories of him. I pray that you will lean on one another in the days ahead. Love and Prayers, Mike and Michelle Rogers Snyder
