Obituary of Elsie Monahan

ELSIE FAYE MONAHAN, age 49, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She is survived by her friend and companion, Joe Martin of Marion, Virginia; four sisters, Edna Sutliff and Dora Mae Grubb both of Wytheville, Virginia, Lili Belle Getting of Colorado and Velvet Thacker of Richmond, Virginia; five brothers, Robert Kading and Leroy Watkins both of Richmond, Virginia, John David Cregger and Joe Watkins both of Wytheville, Virginia and James Watkins of Rural Retreat, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Private burial will be held in Round Hill Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
