Dear Warren Family: I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I went to see him just 2 weeks ago about the passing of our Mom, Dorothy Cress, and Mr. Warren really helped us to know what we needed to do. I also worked in the Courthouse with him years ago. He truly was a nice man to talk to and I again am so sorry to hear of his passing. You will be in our prayers.

In our conversations, I would call him "Mr. Warren". He would always remind me to call him Jimmie. He wanted everyone to feel comfortable in every situation, that is just the kind of man he was. There will never be another like him. God bless you as you grieve his loss.

We are so sorry to hear about Jimmy. He was a "true" gentleman. He was a friend to all and Smyth County has been blessed to have a public servant of his character all these years. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on in the memories of all he has helped through the years. To the family we express our sincere sympathy.

Mark and family: I was very shocked and saddened when mom told me about your father today. I went to him almost 4 years ago and asked him to marry my husband and I. It was a great honor to have him officiate. I always looked forward to seeing him every time I went into the courthouse. He will TRULY be missed. What an upstanding man he was in our community. God bless and hold your family in his arms. Prayers, too.
