Obituary of Jocie Hash

MARION, VIRGINIA: JOCIE IRENE HASH, age 81 went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee.Mrs. Hash was born July 1, 1928 in Grayson County Virginia, a daughter of the late James Wiley "Bud" Cress & the late Bertha Viola Blackburn Cress.She retired from the Blue Ridge Job Corps as a dietician. She loved cooking & gardening, and was a loving mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, and was a member of the Falling Water Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. Carl Hash, a son Bobby Joe Hash, and a sister Phyllis Jean Mumpower.Survivors include daughter, Betty Nelson, Marion, Virginia; daughter & son-in-law Janice & Darold Henderlite, Reidsville, North Carolina; son Michael Hash, Marion, Virginia; brother, Edgar R. Cress, Marion, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Vicky Hash, Atkins, Virginia; eight grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Sunday July 26, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Creasy & the Reverend Tim Boyette officiating.
