Paul,my brother,Bobby,had Mrs. Hicks in fourth grade and she was his favorite teacher. She sent him little notes every year at Christmas.She was such a nice lady. Our sincere sympathy to all the Hicks and Atkins.

Dear Paul, We were your neighbors for years on Greer St. and I remember your mom very well. She always handed out wonderful homemade treats at halloween! I also remember the family grocery. Dear Paul & Pat, We extend our deepest sympathy to you following the death of your beautiful Mother and our very special Aunt. We so enjoyed visits with her in recent years when we would be in Virginia. We had a lovely visit in March and we are so thankful to have this memory. We always marveled at her recollection of her early years and she filled us in on many things we did not know in regards to the family. Mrs. Hicks was my fourth grade teacher at Marion Primary School in 1956, and she has always been my very favorite teacher. One of the best memories I have of her is that she read a chapter of Tom Sawyer to the class every day after lunch. I loved her and send my condolences.

Paul and Pat, I am sorry to hear of Lucile's death. She was a teacher until the end! She always sent a wonderful note in her Christmas card with updates on the family. She was so proud of all of you but missed Paul, Sr. greatly. All of the Mauck family sends our sincere condolences.
