Obituary of Michael Hall
ATKINS, VIRGINIA: MICHAEL LEE HALL, age 51, died Monday, July 26, 2004 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Born January 18, 1953 in Princeton, West Virginia, to the late Randolph and Lula McGrady Hall. Michael had accepted Christ as his personal Savior nine years ago and was baptized two years ago, and became an active member of Joy Baptist Church, Chilhowie, Virginia. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Susanne Hall of Atkins, Virginia. Three daughters, April Hall of Sugar Grove, Tiana Hall and Laura Hall both of Atkins, Virginia. One son, Josh Hall of Atkins, Virginia. One sister, Yvonne "Sis" Hall of Rutledge, Tennessee. Two brothers, Randy Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Cody Hall of Gordonville, Pennsylvania. Three grandchildren, Corey Shupe, Kyrah Shupe, and Branson Shupe. His mother and father-in-law, Rosemarie and William Somervell of Chilhowie, Virginia. A special uncle, Donald Hall and wife, Bert of Danville, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church, Chilhowie, Virginia, with Pastor Jerry Atkins officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Resurrection Gardens, Atkins, Virginia, where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Seaver-Brown Funeral Service, P.O. Box 427, Marion, Virginia 24354 to help the family with the funeral expenses
