Debbie was my sister in law, but even though we had our differences over the years(and they were some doozies), I still loved her like she was my sister. I don't think Debbie ever realized how much I cared about her but I did and now I wish I had told her more. When we would visit there, I would always try to make sure I told her and David I loved them both. Sadly, the last few times I was there, it was impossible to do that. I pray that she knew how much she meant to all of us. Even though we all didn't get along all the time, she was always considered a permanent part of the family and if there had been any way I could have helped her I would have. She had a terrible time dealing with Davy's passing away and I felt so sorry for her but there wasn't much I could say except just listen. One day again I'm sure I will be able to tell her how I really felt about her and then I'm sure we will all be together as a family again with Jesus. David, if there is anything I can ever do to help you or if you just need to talk, I"m still your sister and I love you and Kayla. I'm here for you whenever you need me, even if its just to listen to you when you need to vent. I love you all and please never forget that we are all family no matter what may happen in the future..

While my visits to Chilhowie have been few in the last 25 years, Debbie always had a big smile and a sincere way of making you feel welcome and special. I will miss that about her. She truly cared about others.
