Obituary of Novada Robinson

MARION, VIRGINIA: NOVADA ROBINSON, age 87 died Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Novada Robinson, born October 7, 1921. She was born in Russel County, the daughter of the late Luther and Cynthia Jessee Skeens She was preceeded in death by her first husband, S.I. Dye and her second husband Wayne H. Robinson; stepson Donald Robinson and stepson Joe Robinson; six sisters, Hazel Patrick, Ida Chafin, Cora Powers, Edna Adams, Delphia Dean and Gertrude Dean; and two brothers, Grady Skeens and Dennie Skeens. For many years she attended Zion Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, S.I. Dye Jr. and wife, Dottie of Kingsport Tn. one stepdaughter, Lydia Dean and husband, Don of Roanoke Va. and several stepgrandchildern and stepgreat grandchildern; two sisters, Nannie Bevins of Lebanon and Beulah Jean Worley of Dante; one brother, Gaines Skeens and wife Betty of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend John Graham officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion, Virginia.
