Obituary of Lettie Gillespie

MARION, VIRGINIA: LETTIE VIRGINIA GILLESPIE, age 92, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sarah Maloyed Gillespie; two sisters, Cora Davidson and Nannie Goff; four brothers, Ellis, Robert E., J.C., and Marvin Gillespie. She is survived by one sister, Ruby Schwartz of Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews, including those she considered her children, Debra Shae Lowe of Marion, Virginia and Rebecca Darlene Seymour and husband, Jimmy of Rich Valley, Virginia; John C. Gillespie, Jr. and wife, Mary of Mooresville, North Carolina and Robert Dean Gillespie and wife, Phyllis of Marion, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgedale United Methodist Church with Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgedale United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
