Bob and Shelby, We were heartbroken to learn Travis died. We didn't know until after services were over or would have attended. He did so much so beautifully despite his short time: he gave the gift of music to so many children and even the Pope! What a wonderful life! We celebrate the loving parents who gave him to this world and mourn your loss of a stunningly gifted child, a young man who touched the world in such a positive way. God bless you both with peace and love, Mark and Lee Ann

Mr. and Mrs. Powell and family, I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Travis’ passing. Travis and I (like so many) grew up together, from kindergarten to graduation day. We even had piano together. And let’s not forget those crazy piano recitals. I use to get so nervous that I couldn’t stop shaking. He’d just grin and say you can do it and I could feel his prayer as it was my turn to play. Travis was definitely a master with those keys and could make them talk and walk. Anyone that was honored to hear him play was blest and knew he owned the moment. I am proud to call him my friend and proud of ALL his accomplishments over the years. I’m so sorry for your loss. Words can’t even describe how I feel. I don’t have any of my senior pictures but I do have memories and there’s one of Teresa Pruitt, Travis and myself in line getting ready for our big moment outside the gym---in that picture we all were saying “Friends For Life” and friends for life we were. Even though time has passed us by and we all rarely were able to communicate when we did cross paths—smiles, hugs, and fast updates were there. I was so looking forward to that catch up next year at our class reunion. He is going to be missed by so many. May God bless you and give you strength during this time of need now and the days to come.

We were so very saddened by this news. My daughter, Madeleine, was a bright, talented member of the St Cecelia's Children's Choir at St. Thomas Aquinas Schoo/Church in Dallas, TX. During his tenure at ST. Thomas, Travis organized the choir and through direction, dedictation and talent, brought the choir to their first conference in Chicago, IL. Travis was also my daugther's voice instructor and afforded her the opportunity to sing for the entire congregation at Christmas Eve Mass. He believed in the purity of the children's voices and sought special selections to showcase such a treasure. Travis' organ talents blessed St. Thomas with incredible music, often playing a gem after the recession at Sunday mass. There were many of us that would stay to listen and we always applauded. His passion for music and kind demeanor blessed us. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.
