Obituary of Mary Armstrong

MARION, VIRGINIA: MARY FRANCES ARMSTRONG, age 70, died, Monday, January 26, 2009, at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Sherman G. Armstrong of Marion, Virginia, two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and David Moore of Chilhowie, Virginia and Marie and Michael Winebarger, of Marion, Virginia; five sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Becky Armstrong and Jack and Donna Armstrong all of Marion, Virginia, Jeff and Lois Armstrong, Mike and Sharon Armstrong, and Bengie and Christy Armstrong all of Chilhowie, Virginia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Maryann Pruitt and Dan and Donna Mae Pruitt all of Rich Valley, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel with Rev. Steve Hutton and Rev. Tim Blevins officiating. Graveside services will be held at Ridgedale United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rich Valley, Virginia on Friday, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Pallbearers will be: Billy Barker, Nick Barker, Raymond Campbell, Douglas Armstrong, Mikie Armstrong, Jim Pruitt, Larry Pruitt, Jim Armstrong and Kenny Fleenor.
