Obituary of J. Winesett JR

MARION, VIRGINIA: J.C. WINESETT JR., age 89, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in the Indian Path Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. He was born May 1st, 1919 in Ceres, Virginia. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired sales manager for the Marion Bottling Company. In addition to his parents Jesse Clarence Winesett and Cleo McClellan Winesett he was preceded in death by a daughter Carol W. Barnett and son-in-law, Russell T. Barnett; a brother, Buford Winesett and a sister, Helen W. Dority. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Maude Peak Winesett; a daughter, Linda Sue and son-in-law, David P. Helms; grandson, Mark T. Barnett and wife, Sherry C. Barnett; great-granddaughter, Alicia N. Barnett; two sisters, BeEtta W. Hester and Margaret W. Duncan; one brother, Walter E. Winesett and wife, Ruby; and several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends Friday, November 14, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. A private family burial will be held at Round Hill Cemetery with nephews serving as active and honorary pallbearers.
