Obituary of Dollie Woodward

MARION, VIRGINIA: DOLLIE VERNON WOODWARD, age 72, died November 19, 2008 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a son, David Thomas Woodward; parents, Tom and Essie Anderson Vernon; three sisters, Carolyn Williams, Bobbie Walton and Maxine Kidd. She is survived by her husband, David A. Woodward of Marion, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Derek Orr of Marion, Virginia; one son, Michael Lynn Woodward of Marion, Virginia; two sisters, Joyce Bishop and Martha Voigt, both of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; two brothers, Marvin Lynn Vernon of Nashville, Tennessee and Tommy Vernon of Bluefield, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Eric and Dustin Woodward, Savannah, Julianne and Brennan Orr. Several nieces, nephews and a host of good friends also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage and Rev. Jacob Vanover officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 2559 Highway 16, Marion, Virginia.
