Obituary of Dora Jones

DORA P. JONES, age 78, died Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Smyth County Community Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Jones Donnelly of Abingdon, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allan D. and Nan Jones of Marion, Virginia, Greg and Deborah Jones of Rich Valley, Virginia; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruby Gillespie and husband, Jimmy of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren, Christy J. Moss, Aaron D. Jones, Chaz Jones and Alexa Rae Jones; one great-grandchild, Carl Roy and a Special Friend, Raymond Martin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Dr. Mark Ross and Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 28, 2008 from 7:00 p.m.until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Francis Marion Manor Activity Department, c/o Sharon Buchanan, P. O. Box 880, Marion, Virginia 24354. The Family would like to give a special expression of gratitude to the staff of Francis Marion Manor and most especially, the amazing staff on the second floor.
