Obituary of Curtis Wolfe
MARION, VIRGINIA: CURTIS WOLFE, age 83 died Monday, September 08, 2008 at his home. He was a member of the Marion Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Germany, Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Wolfe was a 32nd Degree Mason having served as past Master Mason of Masonic Lodge #31 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. He was a former Marion Police Officer and for the past 38 years has been the Owner/Operator of the Hungry Mother Grocery.
Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Wolfe. He is survived by two sons, Rick Wolfe and wife, Sherry and Junior Wolfe and wife Linda all of Marion, Virginia; one daughter, Pattie Wolfe Absher and husband, Eddie of Richmond, Virginia; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery where Masonic Rites will be conducted by Marion Masonic Lodge #31 A.F. & A.M. and Military Rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
