Obituary of Bernice Walker

MARION, VIRGINIA: BERNICE P. WALKER, age 88, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia. She was a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Walker and son, Wayne Peoples. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hutton Dillman and husband Ronnie of Marion, Virginia; one sister, Ruth Fletcher of Johnson City, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Travis Hutton of Atkins, Virginia, Sgt. 1st Class C.J. Hutton of Afghanistan; two great-grandchildren, Amber and Austin of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
