Obituary of Anna Catron
ATKINS, VIRGINIA: ANNA MOZELLE CALHOUN CATRON, age 92, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Princeton Health Care Center, Princeton, West Virginia.
She was born July 29, 1915, and was the daughter of the late William Aaron and Florence Pennington Calhoun. She was a life long resident of Atkins, Virginia and was a Charter Member of both the Atkins Home Demonstration Club and the Atkins Garden Club. She was also a life member of the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Atkins, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earlie "Doc" Catron; three sisters, Elsie Cox, Katie Catron, and Virginia "Gin" Calhoun; one brother, Joe Calhoun; and one grandson, Richard Keith Clark.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Richard Clark of Atkins, Virginia, and Dawn and Stuart Sigmon of Princeton, West Virginia; one son, William "Bill" Catron of Atkins, Virginia; five grandchildren, Billy Catron, Aaron Clark and wife, Pooneh, Shawn Young and husband, Jack, and Rochelle Lusby; one granddaughter-in-law, Julie Clark; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Atkins, Virginia with Rev. Eddie Beck and Rev. Grady Byrd officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
