I am so sorry to hear of Stevie's passing. Stevie and I have been friends for many years and he was like a son to my dad. I will never forget the fun we had on the senior trip, the good times shared tailgating after Tech's football game or the hunting trip he took me on. He was a great, happy go lucky guy who will be missed by all that knew him.

We were at the hospital the day this happened, we were waiting on my husbands brother in ER and I overheard the name and knew I went to school with a Stevie Brooks and I seen the family and didn't want to be nosey and said a silent prayer as they walked into the room. Our prayers are with you all that day and everyday! I didn't know him that well but, I wanted to let you know at the hospital no matter who you were there for and now I want to say we are so sorry for your loss. Dear Family, We can't help but to question why, when a young man's life is cut so short. Stevie had a purpose in this life that only God can reveal. Steve was such an uplifting guy. Anytime I was having a bad day he could always cheer me up. I am so hurt and saddened by the loss, but we know he is in a better place. Stevie was a great guy and I have wonderful memories I will always treasure. One of my fondest memories in life was the day Stevie, knowing daises were my favorite flower, took me on a drive to show me an entire field full of them. He was wonderful like that. I will miss him.
