Dear Janet, Last fall, Paul and I saw John at Va Tech at Nathan's first Corps of Cadets parade. Nathan started the Corps in August, 2007. We were very nervous about the whole thing, but John was so encouraging and positive about the program and calmed our fears. It was also great to see a familiar, Marion face in the crowd. He will be greatly missed. I will keep you and Gwen, Richard and Emily in my prayers. Ann Chambers

The Class of '65 has lost too many classmates. John was a special guy with a distinct personality that we will all remember. He never minded telling me exactly what he thought and I admired and appreciated that. I am so sorry for your loss and ours as well. He will be missed. Susan
