Obituary of Ruth Dishner
MARION, VIRGINIA: RUTH JANE HALL DISHNER, friend to all - enemy to none was born September 16, 1922 and went to Heaven March 24, 2008. She was a member of Park Presbyterian Chapel. She was retired from K-mart and was previously employed by W.T. Grant Company.
Mrs. Dishner was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Dishner, her mother and father Margie Hall and Robert Hall; sister, Marjorie Atkins, brothers, Robert, Richard, Harry, and John Hall. She was also preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jamison McAdams.
Survivors include her children, Ruth Ann Dunavant and husband Billy, William H. Dishner, Jr. and wife Jean, Tessie Hayes, Patrick Lee Dishner and wife, Jan; sister, Frances "Snookie" Hudson and husband, Jack; brother, Charlie Bill Hall and wife, Mickey. Mrs. Dishner was the loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
At her request, her body is being cremated. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Seaver-Brown Chapel on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to Park Presbyterian Chapel, 627 Hilltop Street, Marion, Virginia 24354.
