Obituary of Donna Dunford

MARION, VIRGINIA: DONNA JEAN DUNFORD, age 61, formerly of Green Spring, West Virginia, died suddenly Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home, following several years of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Leona Dean Gurtler. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She graduated from Romney High School, Green Spring, West Virginia and received her Associate Degree from Wytheville Community College. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Dunford is survived by her husband, Charles A. Dunford, Sr. of Marion, Virginia; one daughter Cynthia Diane Harris of Marion, Virginia; one son, Major Charles A. Dunford, Jr. and wife Terry of Chester, Virginia; one sister, Linda Staub and husband, Greg of Romney, West Virginia; one brother, Bill Kelser and wife, Mary of Green Spring, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Robert Harris and wife, April, Kelly Dunford, Mikayla Dunford and Justin Dunford; great-grandson, Alexander Wesley Harris; one nephew, Michael Gurtler also survives. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Mike Teague and the Reverend Aubrey L. Whitlow, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
