Obituary of Levonia Carico

MARION, VIRGINIA: LEVONIA ESTELINE PICKLE CARICO, age 76, died Monday, December 24, 2007 in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, Virginia. Levonia loved gardening, and giving vegetables to others brought her great joy. She also took pride in her flower garden, and giving flowers away to the church or to anyone passing by. She was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Carico in 1989. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bonnie Taylor of Grottoes, Virginia and Thomas and Marsha Poole of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Cathie and Dan Atwell of Grottoes, Virginia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia with Pastor Robert Maier officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial & Honor Program, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312.
