Lester was my classmate at MHS. He was an exceptional person who touched the lives of many others in a positive and lasting way. An exciting and fun time many of us shared with Lester was the year he was elected State President of the Beta Club. He was a leader, a gentleman, and a friend.

I am a member of the Class of 1955 and remember Lester as a friend of all and a strong leader. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I remember he had a dream of becoming a doctor, but I'm sure he touched many lives in a differnt and important way as an educator. I'm glad we had a chance to reconnect at our 45th class reunion. May light perpetual shine upon him.

We are grieving with the family and friends of Lester. We remember him as a gentleman, a person of humor and an outstanding student. He was a strong leader as well as a devoted man of faith. He fulfilled those strenghts that were developed in high school and continued to serve him well in his professional life. No one will know me but I remember Lester. I was class of '56. Whenever I get together with old classmates, Lester was one of the ones I asked about. Didn't he began piano lessons when he was older--seems I remember sharing a music teacher. He was always so pleasant and nice. He was part of a lovely time in my life and I am sad right now. To the Family of Lester Hall: The Bristol Virginia Public School Division is saddened to learn of the death of Lester Hall. Lester served our division as a teacher and administrator for many years. Further, Lester Hall taught me senior English at Virginia High School back in the day. He sparked a keen interest in language in me. While there is little anyone can do to lessen your grief, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of Lester Hall.
