Obituary of Evelyn Keen
MARION, VIRGINIA: EVELYN LOUISE GOODWIN KEEN, age 75, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at her home in Marion after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 4, 1932 in West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Victoria Hill Goodwin; her husband, Shirl Keen; one son, Allen Keen; two daughters, Margaret Wix and Bonnie Garrett; and one half-brother, Whitt Perkins. Left behind to cherish her memory are seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Pat and Roy Beckner of Salem, Virginia, Sharon Keen of Gordonsville, Virginia, Sarah "Punk" Sheets of Marion, Virginia and her husband, Raymond Sheets of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Georgia McWilliams, Elizabeth "Tiny" and Wayne Compton, Brenda and Kenneth Cole, and Stella and Richard Mullins all of Marion, Virginia; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lee Keen and Anna Fields, Alvin Keen all of Marion, Virginia, and Luther and Rita Keen of Richlands, Virginia; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, "Jo-Jo" and "Co-Co" also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Brother Raymond Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
