Dear James,Linda,Darlyne,Archie Charles,Jimmy,Malissa,Nathan,Maika,Kim,Gina,Jamie and the rest of the family. First of all i wanted to tell u how very sorry i am at the loss of "Papaw" He was a very special and kind loving man, and i truly did think of him as my "Papaw" and loved him just the same. He and I shared many talks about his life and how much he loved each and every one of you indidvidually and as a family. Because of him and your family i have experienced the love of a Papaw that i had missed for many years.."thank you" for allowing me the opportunity to be part of your family. The many rides we took was just as much fun for me as they was for him. Oh and how i finally learned to make potatoe soup and corn bread the way he liked it. The good times and not so good will always be close to my heart,as well as the wonderful smile that could always make me feel better. I love each and every one of you just as i did him, and i will always keep you in my heart.

Dear Linda and James: I wanted to express my sympathy on the death of your father-in-law, Everette. Linda, I will always treasure our friendship when we worked at Flav-O-Rich, especially our many discussions. You spoke so thoughtfully and compationately about Everette. I have often wondered if he were still alive as I had not seen his name in the obituaries over the years. My father passed away November 2006, 2 days before his 96th birthday. He had been in a nursing home for 2 years. Now my siblings and I are selling the 200+ acre farm. My prayers are with you and James during your time of bereavement. Marian Puzenski

Daddy & Linda, Aunt Darleyne & Uncle Archie, Charles & Melissa, Jimmy, Gina, Jamie & Brian, Aunt Leta, and all extended family and friends; I am so very sad that I am unable to make it home in time to be with you all & to say farewell to Papaw. I known hearts are heavy in Marion, & here in the middle of the Pacific, our ohana has been filled with many tears. So, today the girls and I have had our own "Celebration of Life for GrandDaddy" and have spent the entire day sharing our special memories of the time each of us spent with him. And some of our tears have turned to laughter as we remembered all the fun, Papaw's engaging smile, quick wit & the ability he had to make me laugh out loud (which was his intention!) when he would quietly, with a grin, look over to me and make a funny remark when he thought discussions of his failing health were turning too serious. He could laugh at himself, & had a special brand of understated, clever (nothing got past him!) humour that I am sure those close to him saw. He related so well to Kathryn & Kimberlyn and he was able to engage in hour long phone conversations with them and made them feel that he truly listened & was interested as they played instruments, sang, or recanted the day to day life of drama led by 11 yr. old girls! He was special to many and he held his family and friends in high regard. Many times, when speaking of people, he would tell me what a "fine man" or "fine woman" someone was. He sure was a FINE MAN himself! He loved, he was loved, and Kim, Kimberlyn, Kathryn, & KaiLei will never cease to miss him for the rest our lives. Aloha, Papaw Aloha, GrandDaddy

My memories of Mr. Box began with his service on the Smyth County Planning Commission several years ago. He was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. May your happy memories of times with Mr. Box and the grace of God make your grief easier to bare.
