Obituary of Louise Harris
MARION, VIRGINIA: LOUISE FIRESTONE HARRIS, age 74, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at her home. Born February 17, 1933 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Everett and Edith Delp Firestone. She was a member of Russell's Chapel and had been an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 18 having served as president and also served as district president of district 7. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a dedicated caregiver. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Coy Firestone; and one son, Johnny Blevins. She is survived by her husband, Bill Harris of Marion, Virginia. Four sons, Fred Blevins and wife, Joann of Marion, Virginia; Ronnie Surber of Sugar Grove, Virginia; Billy Harris and wife, Shirley and Wayne Harris both of Marion, Virginia. Two Sisters, Hazel Goodpasture and husband, Dickie, and Helen Sprouse all of Marion, Virginia. Six grandchildren, Rodney, Andrea, Scotty, Cristy, Nikki, and Jaimie. Six great-grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews. She is also survived by a special friend, Edith Cook. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Herman Cress officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, Virginia. The Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, VA 24382.
