Obituary of Donald Blackwell

MARION, VIRGINIA: DON E. BLACKWELL, 76, of Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007. Mr. Blackwell was born in Saltville, Virginia on July 21, 1930. He attended Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents James A. Blackwell and Emma Kate Robinson Blackwell; sisters, June Ikenberry, Jane Bowen, Kitty Jo Smith, and Martha Kaylor and brothers, Ben and James Blackwell. Surviving are his brother, Nathan Blackwell of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry C. McCann, Sr., of Supply, North Carolina officiating. Friends may visit family at the cemetery prior to the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
