Obituary of Betty Porterfield

MARION, VIRGINIA: BETTY BLEVINS PORTERFIELD, age 78, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe S. Porterfield and her parents, Robert Mathus and Lillie Glass Blevins. She is survived by two sisters, Annie V. Kecken of Baltimore, Maryland and Marie Blevins Lawrence of Marion, Virginia; one brother, James Robert Blevins of Atkins, Virginia; two step-daughters, Louise Ledbetter of Alabama and Betty Kirby of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Ann Porterfield McLain of Petersburg, Virginia; three brothers-in-law, Joe Porterfield of Baltimore, Maryland, Bill Porterfield of Mitchellville, Maryland and Dick Porterfield of California; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia.
