Obituary of Dorothy Doyle

RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA: DOROTHY BISE DOYLE, age 71, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Smyth County on August 2, 1935 to the late Harvey and Minnie Havens Bise. Mrs. Doyle was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly. She had been employed as a seamstress in various clothing factories in Smyth and Wythe Counties for many years. She is survived by her husband, William Doyle of Rural Retreat, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Sheila Doyle of Greenville, South Carolina; three sisters, Shirley Umbarger of Chilhowie, Virginia, Martha Gray Juba of North East, Maryland, and Margaret Fay Robinson of Elkton, Maryland; three brothers, Bill Bise of Rural Retreat, Virginia, John Bise of Marion, Virginia, Travis Bise of Wytheville, Virginia; one grandson, Ryan Doyle; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
