Obituary of Willis Ford
SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: WILLIS JAMES FORD, age 70, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at his home in Sugar Grove, Virginia. He was born May 29, 1936 in Smyth County Virginia to the late Milton James and Mary Rich Ford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Lee Ford. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Stone Ford of Sugar Grove, Virginia; Three daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Stanley Sheets and Cathy and Bill Parks all of Sugar Grove, Virginia and Felcia and Sgt. Jonathan Lessmann, Colorado Springs, Colorado; One son and daughter-in-law, David and Bridgett Ford of Rural Retreat, Virginia; Five sisters and one brother-in-law, Mable Puckett, Violet West French, Thelma Ray, Joyce Kirk, and Stella and Junior Campbell; One brother, John Ford; Five grandchildren, Dean Parks, PFC Allen Parks and Willa Sheets all of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Lindsey Dove of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Jonathan Lessmann, II of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Two great-grandchildren, Charles Dove and Isabel Dove. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Jerry Creasy officiating. Burial will follow in Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
