Obituary of William Faddis

MARION, VIRGINIA William Wayne Faddis, age 77 , of Mount Laurel, New Jersey died Saturday, March 13th, 2004 at the home of his daughter. Born on July 31st, 1926 in Smyth County, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Wesley and Okie Mae Atkins Faddis. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army and Air Force. He was a former resident of Bluefield, West Virginia and Crewe, Virginia and was retired from Norfolk and Western Railway with over 40 years of service. Surviving are his wife of 51 years , Lorraine DeMarr Faddis of Mount Laurel. One daughter, Shirley Faddis of West Berlin, New Jersey. One son, John W. Faddis of Phoenix, Arizona. One sister, Fern Faddis Wolfe of Wickenburg, Arizona. One sister-in-law, Irene DeMarr Brown of Bowie, Maryand. Several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion with the Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the graveside.
