To Our Dear Friend Larry Your LOVE for Laurie was so strong just as you are tall, her little body had a big loving heart that made everyone know love, the fireworks at our house were wonderful knowing that you 2 were there to enjoy them with us and our children, if you need anything let us know.

Learning of Laurie's death and receiving an e-mail from Rebecca (Becky) Reynolds expressing sympathy for Marlene's death brought back some poignant memories. When Marlene and I were first married, we rented a first floor apartment in the brick house on the corner of Broad and Lee streets from Bill and Wylene Barton. They were good landlords and better yet, they were good people--just like their children! Our family was truly sorry to learn of Laurie's death. She was taken from you far too soon. May God's healing grace bring you peace, and may your many wonderful memories of her bring you many good thoughts in the days ahead. Larry, you have our deepest sympathy.

Larry We were deeply saddened to hear about Laurie. You all were such a great pair, you are so tall and Laurie so tiny. My memories of Laurie will be of someone so bubbly and always with a smile on her face. And a great big laugh that was bigger than she was tall. I know Laurie is a peace now, but I also know how much you will miss her. We will be keeping you and your family in our prayers. Martha and Charlie

Dear Baynard, Becky, Amy, and your families, It is with deep saddness that we learned of Laurie's death. We shared the good and bad together as we grew up. We all did fine. Laurie use to catch me looking the other way and walk or stand under my arm, breaking into that warm smile and laugh that she always had. I had the opportunity about four years ago to meet Laurie and Larry in Bristol while we were all on business. She still had that smile and laugh. She and Larry had twinkles in their eyes, beamed as they set together, looking at each other, as we all shared memories. If she and Larry had never had anything else, it was apparent that having each other and the love they shared made their world complete. Laurie may have been petit but look at the universe and it is small compared to Laurie's heart and soul. Laurie's spirit will carry you, everybody thru these times and she will always be with you. Again we are so sorry for you lost. Rob and Leigh Romans

IT IS WITH MUCH SADNESS WE LEARNED OF LAURIE'S DEATH. ALTHOUGH WE ONLY MET HER ONCE-LIKE ALL COUSIN'S IN THE SOUTH, SHE WAS FAMILY.HER DAD BAYNARD BARTON JR. WAS MY FIRST COUSIN, AND WE SPENT MANY HAPPY CHILDHOOD HOURS TOGETHER. HOWEVER, FAMILIES MOVE AND MULTIPLY AND IT'S HARD TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH EVERYONE. WALTER IN-FORMED US OF LAURIE'S DEATH AND WE SEND OUR SYMPATHY AND LOVE TO ALL CONCERNED. A JEWISH RABBI ONCE SAID TO ME "THERE IS NO DEATH - WE JUST GO FROM LIFE TO LIFE". LOVE -ANNABELLE AND BILL
