Obituary of Margaret Robinson
MARION, VIRGINIA: MARGARET JUNE PARSONS ROBINSON of Marion, Virginia died April 2, 2006 at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church where she taught an Adult Sunday School Class. She also taught a class at the Orchard Towers Apartments. Mrs. Robinson was formerly a member of Cape Coral Baptist Church, Cape Coral, Florida and an assistant teacher there; Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield, Virginia and also an assistant teacher; Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Arlington, Virginia where she taught a women's class; First Baptist Church, Balboa Heights, Canal Zone, Panama, where she taught 2 and 3 year old children and was president of the Women's Missionary Society.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Robinson; her parents, Robert E. "Preacher" and Hattie Pugh Parsons; a sister, Draxie P. Sprinkle; three brothers, Edward C. Parsons, Jack M. Parsons, and James R. Parsons. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert P. and Audrey H. Parsons of Marion, Virginia; a sister, Charlot P. Berry of Wytheville, Virginia; sisters-in-law Mildred L. Parsons of Marion, Virginia and Susan B. Parsons of Sanford, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
June had a great affection for her family and enjoyed a close relationship with them. She had the gift of making friends and maintaining those friendships throughout her lifetime. Her Church and her friends there were a very important part of her life. She was loved for her generosity of spirit and her sense of humor.
Funeral Services for June Robinson will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mark Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
