Obituary of Loetta Horne

MARION, VIRGINIA: LOETTA UMBERGER HORNE, age 91, died Saturday, March 25, 2006. She will be remembered for her beautiful quilts, flowers and her great love of cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Horne and a grandson, Michael Purkey. Mrs. Horne is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Bill R. Purkey and Shirley and Jimmy Blackwell all of Marion, Virginia. One grandchild, Terese Fleming and husband, James of Monroe, North Carolina. One granddaughter-in-law, Nancy Purkey of Atkins, Virginia. Two great-grandchildren, Kristen Fleming and Jarrod Fleming both of Monroe, North Carolina. One step-great-granddaughter, Pia Childers of Lynchburg, Virginia. One step-great-great-grandchild, Michael Wade of Atkins, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Private Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smyth County Humane Society, P.O.
