Obituary of James Humphrey

MARION, VIRGINIA: JAMES FREDERICK HUMPHREY, age 79, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was born May 15, 1926 to the late Harry J. and Dorothy Holler Humphrey. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired after 20 years service with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his retirement, he worked for Brunswick. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Atwell Humphrey; a daughter, Debra Humphrey Jarvis; Two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by one sister, Eileen Humphrey Powell of Lumberbridge, South Carolina; One brother, Joseph Humphrey of Newark, Ohio; Many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial followed in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
