Obituary of Danny Blackburn

DANNY WILSON "RED" BLACKBURN age 46, died Saturday December 17, 2005 at Smyth County Community Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Donna Farris Blackburn of Marion, Virginia; one daughter and her husband, Debbie and Brent Salyer of High Point, North Carolina; two sons, Michael Whitecotton and his Fiancé Hope Blackwell of Marion, Virginia, and Daniel Blackburn and his wife Jamie of Rich Valley, Virginia; five sisters, Wilma Severt of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Dina Finley, Rita Crusenberry, and Sarah Charapick all of Marion, Virginia, and Sharon Bryant of Sparta, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Kaylynn and Gary Carr, Angel Blackwell, Calie and Taylor Blackburn. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday December 19, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Harry Howe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
