Obituary of John Hughes

MARION, VIRGINIA: JOHN E. HUGHES, age 67, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 in Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 26 years, Christine Hughes of Marion, Virginia; Two daughters and one son-in-law, Amy and Jason Joest and Tammy Hughes all of Indianapolis, Indiana; One son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Sheila Hughes of Indianapolis, Indiana; Three step-sons and daughters-in-law, Darel Sr. and Krystal Watson of Kingsport, Tennessee, Kimble III, and Carrie Watson and Keith Watson all of Marion, Virginia. One sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Ben Phipps of Troutdale, Virginia; six grandchildren, Nikki, Sandra, James, Paige, Natasha, and Dalton; Two great-grandchildren; Two step-grandchildren, Tripp and Keily. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Halsey officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at P.O. Box 427, Marion, Virginia 24354 to help differ the family's final expenses.
