Obituary of Joann Lambert Kinder

RADFORD, Va.

Joann Lambert Kinder, age 95, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Highland Ridge Rehab Center, Dublin, Va.

Joann lived in Tazewell for over 80 years before moving to Radford 15 years ago. She taught school in Dryfork, Va. and worked at Tazewell Community Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for the Linus Project of Radford. Joann was a dedicated mother, grandmother and GiGi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Edward Kinder; son, Keith Kinder; daughters, Debbie Rudd and Sara Brown; parents, Thomas Edward and Grace Lambert; brothers, Tom and Bud Lambert.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Susan Kinder; sisters, Bobbie Palasek, Cookie Altizer and husband, Guy; grandchildren, David Brown, Eric Rudd, Chad Brown, Brooke Jones and Jacob Jones; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Martin and Earline Constantino.

Private services will be held December 6, 2021.
