Obituary of John Turley

CHILHOWIE, Va.

 

John “Frankie” Turley, age 69, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va.

 

Frankie was a simple guy who loved his family and would do just about anything for anybody. Frankie would give you anything he had; and that included a hard time. If he had something on his mind – then there was no changing it. Frankie will be missed by everyone who loved and cared for him.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. “Butch” and Margie Stevenson Turley; sisters, Regina Barr and Hilda Turley.

 

Frankie is survived by his brothers, Bill Turley and wife, Glenna of Glade Spring, Va., Kenny Turley and wife, Anita of Chilhowie, Va., Michael Turley and wife, Jeanette of Ohio, Ben Turley and wife, Lisa of Marion, Va.; sisters, Christina Mills and husband, Twinkle of Saltville, Va., Betty Owens of Damascus, Va., Nancy Harris and husband, Rocky, and Theresa Wilson, all of Saltville, Va.; special friend Dee Crouse; many nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Sunset Community Cemetery, 117 Sunset River Road, Ceres, Va. 24318, with Blake Frazier officiating and Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Army Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.
