Obituary of Arthur Sexton

ARTHUR "Art" SEXTON, JR., age 81, died Saturday November 12, 2005 in the VA Medical Center, Salem Virginia. He was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, V.F.W. Post #4667, and a life member of DAV. He worked for Brunswick Corporation for 25 years and was a veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by one brother and sister, James Sexton and Hazel Sexton. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bell Sexton of Rural Retreat, Virginia. One son, Raymond Gary Sexton of Wytheville, Virginia; Four sisters, Darlene Daughtery of Windsor, Virginia, Marie Autry, of Monroe, North Carolina, Jacklyn Ellison and Nancy Duck both of Atkins, Virginia; two brothers Richard Sexton of Marion, Virginia and Thornton Sexton of Atkins, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Eddie Beck and Rev. Grady Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Wassum Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
