Obituary of Laura Faye McCracken Richardson

GLADE SPRING, Va.

Laura Faye McCracken Richardson, age 74, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

Laura was a lovely lady who loved her family. She was a loving mother, nana, sister and friend. Laura loved making things beautiful by decorating her home inside and outside. She loved her flowers and garden. Laura was loved by all who knew her and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clayton McCracken; second husband, Ford Richardson; son, Dennis Clay McCracken; parents, Ray and Bessie Barr; brothers, Virgil Barr, Charles Barr, Roy Barr, and Bookie Barr; beloved sister, Donna Mae Powers.

Laura is survived by her son, Lonnie McCracken of Glade Spring, Va.; five grandchildren, Olivia McCracken, Melissa McCracken, Brayden McCracken, Andrew McCracken, and Jackson Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Laura's wishes, all services will be private.
