Obituary of JoAnne Wayne

INDEPENDENCE, Va.

JoAnne Wayne, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 along with her husband of 70 years, Ronald Wayne. 

Throughout her life, JoAnne loved being out in nature taking walks and gardening. She enjoyed finding out about the various wild plants in the area. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, her faith shaped her life and her respect for the earth.

Survivors include their son, Arnold Wayne; three daughters, Linda Guynes (Johnny), Anne Austin, Pam Caudle (D.C.); nine grandchildren, Anthony Guynes (Chelsea), Elissa Guynes, Jaime Austin (Kelsey), Amy Simms(Ryan), Malinda Shockley (Matt), Emily Guynes, Andrew Austin, Jonathon Guynes (Sierra) and Julie Austin; great-grandson, Aidan Guynes; and many friends and family.

Memorial services will be by video conference. Please contact the family for arrangements.
