Obituary of Linda Jean Caldwell
MARION, Va.
Linda Jean Caldwell, age 73, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at Smyth County Community Hospital.
Linda was a loving and laughing wife – she enjoyed at and with John, her husband of 50 years. Her full time job was raising their two boys, and becoming a wonderful nanny to their five children. She enjoyed crocheting quilts for family and friends, and always had a good time away in Gatlinburg. Her cooking, love, and kind way will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Caldwell; parents, James and Mazzie Wolfe; and sister, Jenny Pennington.
Linda is survived by her husband, John Caldwell; sons, Michael Caldwell and wife, Cansada, and Bryan Caldwell and wife, Cindy; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Caldwell, Edessa Lynn Caldwell, Madeline LeeAnn Caldwell, Lilly Rose Caldwell, and Brian Musick, all of Marion, Va.; and special friend, Susan Royal of Roanoke, Va.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor William McCollian officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
