Obituary of Peggy Jean Rosenbaum

MARION, Va.

Peggy J. Rosenbaum, age 76, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at NHC HealthCare, Bristol, Va.

Peggy was a simple lady who enjoyed her quiet, laid-back life. Napping, coloring, and reading filled most of her time. To her family, she was the one to who everyone came to for advice. Red granny always had the right answers. Peggy had a giving and loving heart. Her kind and sweet way will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Rosenbaum; her parents, James William Surber and Rosa Lee Surber. Grandparents Susie Surber, Liam, and Luella Tuggle, and Aubert Surber.

Peggy is survived by her daughters Pat Hunt, Diane Lewis, Linda Nunley, Ruth Burton, Lisa Cruisenberry, Sandy Darter, and Vicky Lovell. Sons Kurtis Nunley, James Rosenbaum, Jerry Rosenbaum, Larry Rosenbaum, and Mike Rosenbaum. Six sisters, Francis Roe, Anna Foust, Elizabeth Murias, and husband Joe, Tina Dunn, Susie Surber, and Terry Brauning. Four brothers, Buster Surber and wife Jenny, Freddie Surber and wife Crystal, Donnie Surber and wife Jolene, Darhyl Surber and wife Nancy; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested flowers be given to the charity of your choice.
