Obituary of Betty Moore

ATKINS, Va.

Betty Moore, age 63, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her home.

Betty was a loving sister, wife to Roy for 26 years, and a caring mom, granny and momaw to her children and grandchildren. She loved to sell Paparazzi Jewelry, and make people happy. Betty was an excellent cook, and the best baby sitter ever; and you can't beat her mac-n-cheese. She loved life with her family and friends, but what a Homecoming in Heaven Betty had on Thursday! She'll be missed by all who loved her, but what a blessing to know she is in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Lena Newman; sister. Lola Heath; and brother, Junior Newman.

Betty is survived by her husband, Roy of Atkins, Va.; daughters, Corietha Dalton of Atkins, Va. and Samantha Harden and husband, Travis of Marion, Va.; son, Chris Shupe and fiancée, April Russell of Atkins, Va.; sister, Peggy Clark and husband, Walt of Atkins, Va.; brothers, Mike Newman and wife, Wanda of Sugar Grove, Va. and Butch Newman and wife, June of Rural Retreat, Va.; ten grandchildren, Corey Shupe, Kyrah Shupe, Branson Shupe, Sidda Shupe, Lola Shupe, Marcus Keys, Tristen Dalton, Gavin Dalton, Katilyn Harden and Khloe Harden; two great-grandchildren, Kaiden Shupe and Grace Keys; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 p.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Cemetery, Adwolfe, Va.
